We have an opportunity for a Graduate NPD Buyer to join our Purchasing Team.

Finsbury Food Group is a leading speciality bakery manufacturer. As our Graduate NPD Buyer You will be responsible for ensuring that all materials are approved to meet specification, are within cost parameters and with achievable lead times. In addition, you will be required to negotiate terms with suppliers and support artwork approval processes.

This role is based at our Sheffield site with hybrid working as an option. On occasion you will be required to attend one of our other sites for meetings which could be weekly or monthly, depending on the requirement. Therefore willingness to travel is essential.

**This is what you’ll actually do**

As Graduate NPD Buyer theywill proactively source new materials to allow our NPD Team to develop new & exciting products. They will work closely with the development teams, ensuring that all new product requests are dealt with within required time scales. Regular attendance at product launch meetings and keeping team advised of any new product material issues.

To be successful in this this role, they should be able to demonstrate the capability to negotiate and purchase materials from a range of suppliers. Some purchasing and buying experience, particularly in the food industry could be an advantage, but not essential as training and development can be provided for the right applicant.

- _Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with Key Stakeholders (Internal and External)._
- _High standard of computer literacy i.e. Microsoft Office, ERP, NPD Software, Quality Control Systems_
- _Takes responsibility for Personal Development._
- _High standard of numeracy._
- _Desirable : Member or working towards Chartered Institute Of Purchasing & Supply._
