**Job Purpose**

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Estimator to join a medium sized and well-respected Mechanical and Electrical Services contractor based in the Heathrow area who provide Mechanical, Electrical and Fit-Out services from design through to installationand commissioning across various sectors including, aviation, automation and commercial, with contract values ranging from £100k up to £2m.
The Senior Estimator role is to prepare cost estimates and create customer quotations. You will be working within the Project Department to help the team achieve and exceed sales targets at optimum margins. The Senior Estimator is an important element of thecompanies process and you will need to be able to multi -task and adjust several proposals running conjointly and speed and accuracy is required whilst ensuring the profit margins are maintained.

**Key Responsibilities**
- To support the project team including Project Managers, Directors, and other team members with all customer enquiries.
- Conduct Site visits to evaluate the project enquiry take all necessary site details to enable a quotation to be produced accurately and produce quotations for customers
- Costing of projects materials and labour resource.
- To have a positive attitude and can-do nature to our clients, other staff members to lead, develop and mentor colleagues. To use experience and knowledge to help increase profit and margin.
- Attend site meetings and meet stakeholders as required, regarding methods of work and compliance.
- To keep Project Managers, Directors, and other team members up to date with the proposal progress.
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analysing information.
- Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information.
- Maintain cost data base, using company format.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Flexible approach to assist in any site installation works which are within your expertise and skill set, as and when required.
- To have responsibility, to continually help and improve the processes relating to the Organisations Quality Management System.
- To have responsibility, to continually help and improve the processes relating to statutory and regulatory requirements of the Organisation.
- Any other duties that the company may reasonably ask you to perform which are within your expertise and skill sets.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Producing quotations / tenders for clients within the agreed timescale
- Managing the commercial and funding elements of the projects.
- Client liaison to ensure customer care service levels are maintained.
- Interaction with supplier and labour resourcers
- Assist Project managers where required for materials and labour to site.
- Assist with the production of risk and method statements for all projects.

**Key Skills/Experience**
- IT Skills including: Word, Excel and relevant software packages.
- Possess good communication skills, written and verbal.
- To be client focused to give great service whilst maintaining profitability
- To work effectively as a part of a team.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Proven track record in project estimating with strong commercial acumen.
- Ideally educated to HNC / HND or Degree in Building Services, or Mechanical/Electrical Qualifications

**Measure of Success (KPI’s)**
- Assisting Project Department and manager with sales and margin growth.
- Prepare cost estimates by analysing proposals and requirements.
- Maintain the Project Tracker spreadsheet.
- Profitable and repeatable project work won.
- Margins maintained as estimated.
