**Lead Estimator (Passive Fire Protection)**

**Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE**

**Location: Harrogate-based role with flexible hybrid working**

Adaston are an industry leading Passive Fire Protection firm, specialising in the inspection and remediation of fire protection and fire doors as well as consultancy services to a wide range of clients in the public and private sector.

We are looking for a Lead Estimator to manage and direct a small but growing team, taking the lead on tenders and quotes for our full range of services. This role is ideal for someone with at least 5 years of estimating experience and 3 years in the passive fire protection industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee all estimating processes.
- Develop, monitor, and refine pricing models.
- Manage personal and technical development of the estimating team.
- Manage and prioritise submission deadlines for all quotes, ensuring timely delivery to clients.
- Review schedule of rates, pricing methodology, and proposal documents produced by the estimating team.
- Produce pricing sheets for clients’ required work scopes.
- Manage pricing aspects of all public tenders.
- Liaise with technical and operations teams regarding specifications and logistics for work scopes being priced.
- Monitor data to provide insights to inform and refine future bids.
- Produce proposals, detailing scope of works and specifications.
- Review of preliminary doorset quotations alongside technical team.
- Assist sales team with client direction on budget, aims, and objectives from initial enquiry.
- Request quotations from material suppliers to assist with pricing.
- **Required**:_
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience using XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and nested functions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documentation.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with attention to detail.
- Working to deadlines and managing workload.
- **Desirable**:_
- Experience with Bolster Systems or similar.
- Line management experience.
- Use of a CRM system to track quotes throughout the estimating process.
