**We have an exciting opportunity to join the B&M Buying team at the Support Centre in Speke as a Merchandiser with the aim of maximising sales and profit.**

**The Key Accountabilities in the role are**:

- Working to tight restrictions to ensure stock is maintained throughout the year at the correct levels
- Creation of stock orders, managing these orders into the business efficiently
- Budget planning for the season
- Cultivating close working relationships with key suppliers
- Analysing data from the previous year, and current trends
- Prepare weekly WSSI, sales and trade reports
- Working closely with the Buyer to ensure sales and margin targets are met
- Providing the relevant analysis to the buyer to help them with range planning
- Working closely with the Buying team assistants to help maintain and develop the department
- Being proficient in the use of Excel were the business uses heavily formulated worksheets to manipulate reports
- Experience already at Merchandiser or a Junior Merchandiser ready to take the next step in your career.
- Experience with FOB suppliers, consolidating of containers and working to lead times
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Build and maintain effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
- Manage budgets
- Negotiate quantities and delivery time-scales
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Able to utilise data to fully understand customer behaviour and habits
- Able to Multitask and prioritise workload to the needs of the business
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office in particular Excel
