**The school**:
A school we work closely with in the BD7 area is looking for a flexible special educational needs teaching assistant to support a number of their pupils. This ‘good’ Ofsted rated school aims to create an environment in which all their children can flourishand have the opportunity to reach their full potential in. They place a high emphasis on each child’s personal development and provide their pupils with guidance and support, so they are able to make their own positive choices in life.
**The role**:
In this role you will be responsible for the extra support to those children with challenging behaviour, additional needs, and learning difficulties. Your role will require you to be flexible regarding working with a number of pupils with different needsacross all year groups. It will consist of being able to flex between the difference in ages and to understand how this will affect the managing of and dealing with certain distressing situations. In this role you will be responsible for supporting teachersin delivering lessons to meet with varying needs as well as providing targeted small group and 1:1 intervention.
**The pay**:
The rate of pay for this role will be between £70 and £85 per day depending on your levels of experience.
**The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will**:
- Have experience working with challenging behaviours as one of the following: Teaching Assistant, Behaviour mentor, Youth worker or Residential support worker.
- Be flexible regarding the different ages and different additional needs they will work with.
- Have experience of using behaviour management, Team Teach and de-escalation techniques.
- Be a caring and nurturing character.
- Be empathetic and understanding.
- Have a commitment and dedication to the learning and development of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
