With a brand-new purpose-built facility underway and a high increase in customer demand, we are now keen to expand our workforce. We now have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a skilled and motivated Stores Person/Purchaser to join our dedicated, friendly, and hardworking team on a permanent basis.

In this role you will support the Operations Manager with the effective management of our stores, ensuring stock levels remain accurate, allowing parts to be available as quickly as possible at the lowest cost possible. You will support the management of daily deliveries of items and stock for the site. You will be working closely with our Operations Manager to organise parts in store, ensuring parts are stored safely and correctly.

Requirements for the position:

- To issue required stock to technicians on request and in a timely manner.
- Ensure the return of parts/items that are not required or incorrectly ordered.
- Liaise with suppliers regarding delivery dates of ordered parts.
- Manage daily deliveries of items/stock.
- Verify delivery.
- Regular checking minimum stock levels to ensure they are not running low.
- Always keep the Stores in a good state of cleanliness and tidiness.
- Inform Technicians of any parts that have been delivered on their behalf.
- Pack and send any items that need to be sent by Courier to ensure safe delivery.
- Ensure sufficient levels of PPE are available in the Stores and ensure outgoing PPE is logged to the relevant person.
- Carry out monthly rolling stock checks.
- Create order numbers for parts ordered and input data onto the system.
- To provide order numbers to all workshop staff on contract.
- Reacting/highlighting delivery times of items which do not arrive on time.
- Regular stock check of items.

Person Specifics:

- Must hold a current UK driving licence (essential).
- Forklift/Counterbalance licence (desirable).
- Able to deliver a positive impact and sees efficiency as a top priority.
- Able to demonstrate successful delivery of cost reductions.
- Manual handling knowledge.
- Behavioural competencies.
- Negotiation techniques to ensure lowest costs for parts.
- Technical competencies.
- Experienced in a stores role within a workshop environment.

Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00

Salary range is £21000 - £35000
