**HGV MECHANIC**

**WORKING DAYS BETWEEEN MONDAY - FRIDAY: 06.00 - 18.00**

**£16.00 - £18.00 PER HOUR PAYE DOE**

People Solutions are looking for a HGV Mechanic for our Client based in Rushden.

**Day to Day Duties**
- Vehicle maintenance including servicing, inspections and defect repairs
- MOT preparations
- Any other work that is requested by the workshop foreman and workshop manager
- Delivering the highest quality of workmanship

**Essential Skills**
- Qualified in a mechanical discipline
- Hydraulics experience
- Roadside breakdown experience
- Strong understanding of MOT standards and legal compliance
- Knowledge of 6 weekly service inspections and legal compliance to VOSA standards
- Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician (as a minimum) or equivalent
- Preferred Irtec Qualification
- Knowledge of Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems - Maintenance / repair

**Desirable Experience**
- Previous experience gained within a similar role
- Experience working on heavy goods vehicles
- Diagnostics equipment experience or the willingness to learn
- Valid UK Category CE Licence, CPC & Digi Card

**Training**

Full ongoing training is provided starting from day one.
