**Youth & Play Worker**

**Salary: £23,000 - £26,000**

**Hours: Full Time (35 hours) per week**

Our Youth & Play Workers play an integral role within our Children, Young People and Families Team, delivering fun, inspiring and high quality youth and play services.

The work of the Children, Young People and Families is diverse, and current services include an Adventure Playground committed to the practice of Adventure Play, coaching in local schools, a family stay and play service, forest school sessions, after schooland holiday services and youth leadership programmes. You will work across all of these services and be involved in the planning, delivery and monitoring of the activities. You will work as part of a small team, ensuring that the adventure playground is anexciting, enriching and fun place for children and young people.

Within your team, you will also take part in outreach - promoting our services across Tulse Hill and devising and delivering ongoing and targeted outreach programmes to ensure our services are reaching those who need them most.

You will share responsibility for Health and Safety for the Adventure Playground, following risk assessments, preparing site safety audits and ensuring the site and activities are safe for all visitors to the playground. You will have an important role insafeguarding the children, young people and families accessing our services and will work with the team to follow our safeguarding policy.

Your work will include contributing to the impact measurement, public events and communications output of High Trees work, including attending community meetings and, events to publicise our work, producing copy, case studies, periodic reporting, blog postsand website content. A strong understanding of how your team sits within the wider work of the organisation and building strong relationships internally, as well as using your excellent communication skills to work within the wider community, is essentialto the role.
