This is a hybrid role and will be based out of one of our offices in either Edinburgh, Widnes, Manchester or Holborn.

**In a nutshell**

As Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that Sainsbury's Bank achieves best value from its external expenditure on goods and services whilst effectively managing risk and utilising your skills to deliver the organisations demanding project timelines and cost savings targets. In addition, you are responsible for managing and maintaining the Bank’s Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system, ensuring all our suppliers are paid on time.

This will be achieved through the identification and delivery of best practice sourcing techniques, effective supplier selection and management, robust due diligence and risk identification, the negotiation of effective Contracts to mitigate 3rd party risk, managing the on-boarding of suppliers and effective use of the P2P system and overall ensure that the business achieves its strategic ambitions.

- Contract Value applicable to role = £25k - £1m+
- Spend Under Management applicable to role = £1m - £10m pa
- People Management = Unlikely but possible.

**What you need to do**
- Provide visible commercial expertise through sourcing engagements to help business stakeholders deliver their objectives
- Work with Relationship Managers, seek financial value from supplier relationships, either at RFP stage or through Continuous Improvement activities
- Develop, implement and embed commodity strategies ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders
- Ensure all contracts follow the appropriate governance approval process including the writing of committee Papers
- Ensure the effective mobilisation of suppliers by completing thorough handovers of contracts, commercial arrangements and risks to Relationship Owners and other relevant stakeholders
- Facilitate the appropriate set up of new suppliers on to the Bank’s iProcurement system.
- Deliver supplier spend reporting and management of P2P systems including; supplier set up, invoicing, set up and amendments to spend limits and catalogues; one-time payments process including credit card payments and reconciliation process; improvements to P2P processes.
- Provide system support for Medius, the Supply Chain Management platform, including access management, register completion (Regulatory Requirement), provision of reporting, building questionnaires, support to Scorecard completion process, administration of supplier and colleague details within system
- Support the maintenance of SCM supplier records (Medius, Datasheet) and reporting required - including annual review of Supplier Data and Material Sub Register
- Maintain and improve content, development and usage of P2P SharePoint (help for RM/ROs) and central RM/RO SharePoint and Teams Channel
- Accountable for adhering to the Risk Management Framework within Supply Chain Sourcing, ensuring it operates and is controlled within SB risk appetite

**What you need to know and show**
- Procurement-related skill set including sourcing, supplier management principles, supply market analysis and contract negotiation
- The ability to support the business in all aspects of the P2P system and processes.
- A suitable professional qualification or desire to work towards a professional qualification (E.g. CIPS)
- Knowledge of Medius, the Supply Chain Management platform which includes Contract Database, eSig Process, Sourcing and Supplier Management functionality
- Effective communicating, negotiating and influencing skills with the resilience and ability to operate at a senior level
- Experience of working in the Financial Services sector or of a regulated control environment is desirable
- Awareness and understanding core due diligence policy areas (e.g. InfoSec, BCM, Financial Health and Conduct Risk)
- Strong analytical skills and an understanding of how they can be used to improve processes and capability
