**Payroll and Finance Assistant**

We are currently looking to recruit a Finance & Payroll Assistant to join our award-winning group of businesses. Our finance and payroll team support our multiple venues, which are a growing mix of stunning wedding venues, hotels and bars.

Key responsibilities would include:

- Supporting the Payroll Team Leader in processing payroll in-house for all group venues and head office staff. Payroll being a mix of weekly and monthly payrolls, with both hourly and salaried employees.
- Maintaining the Payroll in Sage, processing starters and leavers and any changes.
- Assisting employees with internal queries and questions they may have on payroll related matters
- Achieving a high level of communication and the ability to liaise with managers and staff in a professional manner.
- Other accounting responsibilities including processing venue revenue reporting checks, journals and reconciliations.
- Assisting with audits
- Pension submissions
- Ensuring systems/processes are analysed and updated
- Prepare P11D information
- Monthly Payroll Reconciliation
- Periodic and ad hoc reporting and duties
- Payroll processing experience
- Good MS Excel skills
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple tasks and manage priorities
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to able to build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
