MacKenzie King are recruiting a **Finance Assistant** for a financial services business based in Ipswich. As a **Finance Assistant** you will support the finance function in the processing of client funds including postings to ledger systems, making payments and reconciliation work.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Daily preparation of client cashbooks.
- Daily reconciliation of bank to the system.
- Daily clearing Client suspense accounts.
- Investigating and responding to Client and internal queries.
- Preparation, input and checking of transfers and payments.
- Payment of invoices, delivering remittance information and investigating queries.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Meeting all applicable SLAs.
- A professional attitude must always be maintained.

**Key Skills & Attributes**:

- AAT qualified or part qualified.
- Recent experience in an accounting.
- Experience of bank reconciliation work.
- Experience of financial services organisations desirable but not essential.
- High level of accuracy and numeracy.
- Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting concepts.
- A good ability to interpret written, spoken and numerical data.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- A desire to learn and take on new systems and concepts quickly as well as critically evaluating where appropriate.
