_**Role Overview**:_ We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our HR team and manage our payroll inputs for all UK employees. You will work with internal stakeholders across the business to ensure that all monthly payroll inputs are correct prior to signing off for payroll processing. You will be the UK stakeholder for employees to reach out to regarding payroll queries which will cover things such as pay, expenses and taxes. A major part of the job will be to ensure that all our monthly payroll inputs are correct and that our stakeholders have provided you the most up to date and accurate data to ensure our people are paid on time and correctly each month. You will work within payroll cut-off dates that all stakeholders will need to be managed stringently against. You will also be the go-to person for employee payroll queries, so it would be great if you have managed the full range of queries associated with contact centre payroll queries. Your goal will be to ensure our payroll procedures are compliant and effective and to build a "Best In Class" payroll function in the UK. - **Role Responsibilities**:_ - Develop systems to process payroll account transactions eg. Salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments - Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems - Oversee processing of payroll changes - Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies are met - Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits - Collaborate with HR and accounting teams and other stakeholders to ensure payroll inputs are delivered on time and are accurate - Maintain accurate records and prepare reports - Resolve issues and answer payroll related queries - **Skills and Experience Required**:_ - Proven experience as a payroll specialist - Have knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws - Have excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes - Keen eye for detail - Must have an analytical mind and good math skills - Must have outstanding communication skills (written and oral) - Be highly organised and efficient - Leadership skills required - BSc/BA in Business Administration, Accounting, HR or related fields - CPP or CPM certification is a bonus - **What’s on offer**:_ - Pension - Private healthcare insurance - Life insurance - **Business Overview**:_ Tech Mahindra are a multi-billion £ company who employ over 125,000 professionals across 90 countries, helping over a thousand customers, including fortune 500 companies achieve excellent customer experience.
