**Main responsibilities as our Embedded Software Engineer**:
**Reporting to the Head of Engineering your main activities and responsibilities will include**:
- Development of Embedded Software with C and Assembler for PIC microcontrollers and STM32 ARM Processor.
- Involvement in overseeing the on-time delivery of electronics and software development projects and requirements from receipt of enquiry to completion.
- Development work on electronics for various R&D projects involving the design for manufacture of various new parts, redesigning existing components, producing prototype parts for testing, testing new and redesigned components.
- Liaison with suppliers and manufacturers regarding components ordered, providing feedback, letting them know if there are problems or what works well.
- Liaison with production staff to address problems.
**Skills, knowledge and experience required by our Embedded Software Engineer**:
- Based at Meech’s UK head office in Witney, Oxfordshire.
- A degree or (HND as a minimum) in Electronic Engineering or Embedded Software Engineering is required.
- Excellent knowledge and experience with communication interfaces: SPI, I2C and UART
- An awareness of hardware engineering would be desirable.
- Schematic circuit design capture as well as layout of PCBs, produce gerbers and BOMs.
- Background in electronic engineering, ideally within SME manufacturing environments (some experience with high voltage would be desirable).
- Good project management, organisation and communication skills, coupled with a flexible and cooperative approach.
