MPLOY is looking to find a permanent and fulltime _Buyer’s Assistant _for an established and highly valued client in Poundbury, Dorchester.

- is an articulate and accurate communicator. You’ll have a fantastic grasp of the English language and can expect to research and write distinctive product descriptions & supplier/designer summaries for our client’s web store. Being a fast typist with excellent numeracy skills would certainly be beneficial.
- is a supporter and collaborator. You can expect to be a key point of contact with our client’s suppliers and you’ll develop highly productive relationships with our client’s Buying, Warehouse, Marketing & Customer Service teams. Disseminating key information effectively with the wider team will be a key duty for the post holder.
- is computer literate and tech savvy. Competency with the MS Office package, including Excel, is a must and some knowledge of Adobe Photoshop would be highly attractive to our client. You can expect to learn & use internal software to upload new products onto our client’s website and will have an eye for detail when it comes to adding additional product information. Expect to learn how to identify poor product performance & how to predict sales.
- is highly organised. Ensuring our client’s stock is in the right place at the right time, by supplier/stakeholder liaison and managing/inputting delivery data into internal systems/Excel, in line with marketing promotions will be a key task for the post holder.
- is a researcher. You’ll keep an eye on our client’s competitors socials, websites etc to ensure new trends & ranges in home, gift & garden products are regularly fed back to the Buying team.
- has a fantastic attention to detail. You will regularly alter product prices and will be responsible to creating/amending Purchase Orders. Double checking will be second nature to you.
- can multitask, re-prioritise effectively & work to deadlines. You’ll also be a natural problem solver with a ‘can do’ attitude.
- can think outside the box. On identifying a poor performing product you will be able to come up with ideas, actions & solutions.
