**This is not a term time only post.**
- To support the Cook in maintaining basic hygiene and kitchen cleanliness in in line with the Safer Food, Better Business Scheme as required by the Environmental Health Department.
- Daily cleaning schedule to be followed.
- Support with the stock rotation in the kitchen.
- To be responsible for the cleaning up of leftover food, washing dishes and using the dishwasher.
- To stack and sort clean dishes and cutlery, leaving the kitchen in a clean and tidy manner.
- To support the cook in the preparation and serving of snack, and lunch for the children across the nursery.
- **MUST **have an understanding of the importance and preparation of special dietary requirements for children.
- You will be responsible for stepping into the Cook's role in her absence, preparing and cooking meals, organising all operations in the kitchen, and working some longer hours to cover the shift pattern to compete all the necessary tasks.
- In the absence of the Cook, you will be responsible for the ordering of stock. For example, online shopping.
- Prepared to take on any other relevant duties determined by the employer from time to time.
- Be prepared to attend training to further develop skills and knowledge for the role.
- Be an effective team player and be able to use your initiative.
- Catering experience is required for this role.
