Morgan King have partnered with one of the UK’s largest independent haulage companies. Due to unprecedented growth, they are looking for an experienced **Transport Clerk** on a **permanent** basis for their well-established depot in **Alfreton**.

**Working Hours**:

- 4 on / 4 off shift rotation
- Set days: 6am - 6pm

**Pay**:

- £28,000 per annum

**Start date / Duration**:

- The role of Transport Clerk is available **immediately.**:

- This is a **permanent** position.

**Responsibilities of a Transport Clerk**:

- Supporting daily planning activities for a fleet of Class 1 lorries operating nationally.
- Co-ordinating all activities, including route planning and scheduling.
- Managing and de-briefing drivers.
- Co-ordinating with team to enable vehicle maintenance and service schedule for the contract vehicles.
- Using different software suites to support effective operation.
- Liaising with customers and drivers to ensure the smooth running of the operation.
- Any related administrative duties as required.

**Ideal Transport Clerk will**:

- Have previous experience in similar role.
- Good working knowledge of working time directive and driving hours regulations.
- Ability to communicate on all levels.
- Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise
- Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT literacy including MS Office and Transport Planning software.
