They have a real passion and track record to have a mínimal impact on society andthe environment as possible. **Overview of the role**: Reporting to the Purchasing Manager this role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the company's overall purchasing strategy whilst achieving specific KPI's and cost down targets. You will be responsible for bringing in new products to production whilst achieving the best possible price. **Your duties will include**: - Identify the organisations purchasing needs and develop strategies to ensure the company's purchasing goals are met. - Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate for the best price, quantities, Terms of Business, and delivery timescales. - Effectively manage the critical path to deliver products on time and maximise profit - Work closely with different teams to manage orders - Project management of purchasing activities relating to new product development and engineering changes. - Monitor and report upon supplier performance, liaise with quality assurance on supplier status, produce monthly reports on all the above as required by department manger - Are strong negotiators - preferably knowledge of "should cost" techniques.
