Coded Welder

Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks on both stainless steel & carbon steel ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.
- Complete general welding duties in accordance with welding procedures.
- Complete weld repair activities in accordance with welding procedures.
- Understand & comply with associated welding standards.
- Assist & support Project engineers during project tasks.
- Complete basic fabrication tasks.
- Comply in full with HES and legislation.

Essential:

- Experienced qualified coded welder.
- Experience welding both stainless steel & carbon steels ranging from 1.5mm to 10mm.
- Experience with both Tig & Mig/Mag welding processes.
- Knowledge to interpret manufacturing drawings and engineering information.
- Basic fabrication knowledge.
- Knowledge in using a variety of power/hand tools.
- Self-motivated and capable of working on own initiative & with others safely & efficiently.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year

- Ashton-Under-Lyne: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

- MIG welding: 3 years (required)
- Fabrication: 3 years (required)
- Welding: 1 year (required)
