The Global Capital & Project Procurement team is responsible to develop the overall strategy and framework that will govern planning and execution of capital expenditure within the AA Group. The team works to integrate the Regional Commercial teams (in particular Project Procurement), Global and Regional Category Management, Inclusive Procurement, Physical Supply Chain and the Centre of Excellence, as well as other stakeholders such as Technical & Sustainability, Social Performance, and Corporate Finance, to deliver a globally integrated Capex value creation strategy that supports successful delivery of capital projects across the AA Group and achieve the AA Group’s ambition to be the most valued mining company in the eyes of all stakeholders.

**Job Description**:
Responsible for managing the EPCM / Construction categories in support of the broader portfolio strategy and business ambition that delivers improved business performance through commercial agreements, enables innovation, supplier partnering and internal stakeholder collaboration.
- Responsible for developing relevant EPCM or Construction category strategies, support input to business cases, plans to ensure security of supply, the advancement of supplier partnering that drives innovation and value, compile and execute sourcing events, support negotiations, establish and execute contracts
- Embrace an agile Supply Chain by being adaptive and flexible to accommodate and focus on emerging and changing business priorities
- Project management of key initiatives
- Understand regional strategic priorities and develop relevant Category Management strategies to support business needs and improved value delivery with a focus on cost reduction, working capital and TCO initiatives
- Implement value creation and supplier engagement strategies that align to the overall global Supply Chain strategy, critical tasks, performance targets and Business Unit priorities
- Develop and manage relationships with strategic suppliers, to drive step change in value and deliver innovative solutions that position Anglo American as a partner of choice
- Participate in negotiations with finalising GFAs (Global Framework Agreements) and related Contract Amendments
- Understand regional strategic priorities and develop relevant Category Management strategies for the EPCM or Construction category to support business needs and improved value delivery with a focus on securing key resources, embedding best-practices, and driving cost and working capital reductions through TCO initiatives
- Support the development of the broader EPCM or Construction category portfolio strategy, value creation plans and business cases by providing relevant data, analysis, opportunity assessments and market intelligence
- Accountable for the contract over its life cycle and ensure contract administration and performance management activities are executed timely and with quality
- Manage the implementation of bespoke agreements that outline innovation, joint development, technical, commercial, relationship and performance expectations
- Understand community specific needs and identify value creation opportunities to address these
- Drive a culture of community development and inclusive procurement with stakeholders that are aligned to the global and regional Inclusive Procurement strategies
- Encourage and maintain a culture of Sustainable Value through ESG, TCO initiatives, innovation, working capital and cost reduction)
- Embrace a Supply Chain team culture of diversity and inclusiveness
- Support cross functional team interactions with internal stakeholders to execute category management activities

**Qualification**: An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level or equivalent, alternatively relevant tertiary qualification and proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
