An Educator for Cumbria

Part time (3 days per week - term time)

Salary £21,000 a year FTE

Coram Life Education is a national charity that supports schools’ Health, Wellbeing and PSHE provision. We use dynamic teaching strategies (including drama) and resources within a framework of a fully developed whole-school approach to improving children’s physical and emotional health. Our delivery includes a comprehensive online PSHE scheme of work, to support schools’ wellbeing and PSHE education for children aged 3-14 (SCARF - Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship). Coram Life Education in Cumbria requires an active, outgoing and enthusiastic person to manage this work, travelling to schools throughout the County.

This is a part time, 3 days per week permanent contract.

You will have:

- Experience of working with Primary age children, knowledge and proven skills in Health, Wellbeing and PSHE education.
- Excellent communication skills, confidence and ability to work closely with teachers (as well as children) to ensure they fully embed our work within their wider provision.
- The skills to promote the work of Coram Life Education to all Primary schools in Cumbria
- The ability and willingness to travel to schools throughout the County at the times necessary
- The ability and willingness to undertake induction training (3 months, full time) facilitated by Coram Life Education and ongoing periodic training outside our County.
- An awareness of and commitment to equal opportunities principles and practice.
- Proficient Information Technology skills.

This is an active role involving gentle movement and carrying of equipment.

The post will be based at home with a requirement to have regular progress/support meetings with our lead educator.
