Within CYPED all paediatric patients are assessed and those requiring admission are transferred to the inpatient ward for continuing care. Patients are admitted under many specialties including medical, orthopaedic and surgical and no two days are ever the same. We are a level 1 unit however we do at times have level 2 patients who require High flow Humidified Oxygen and on occasions CPAP and 1-1 care. Our team consists of Team Leads, Nurses, Heath Care Assistants, Hospital Play Specialists and Nursery Nurses who are motivated and passionate to ensure all care we deliver is Patient and Family centred, high quality and compassionate.
You will see Multi-Disciplinary Team working at its best within our unit as we involve all allied health professionals to ensure the child receives the most appropriate care. We provide 24/7 care and work 11.5 hour shifts.
