Kitchen Porter

ACS International Schools are recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to join the team at ACS International School Egham.

The main scope of this role is the cleaning of plates, cutlery, kitchen areas and kitchen equipment to maintain the highest hygiene standards in the kitchen and food service area.

Situated on 20 acres of glorious English countryside adjoining the Royal Savill Garden, and only 25 miles from central London, ACS Egham is an IB World School of more than 500 students (ages 4 to 18), and 160 expert faculty and staff from over 50 countries. The post holder will be working with a friendly team, within outstanding grounds.

**PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- To adhere to Health & Safety legislation and follow in-house procedures and policies at all times.
- Make sure all deliveries are put away & stock used in accordance with company policy.
- To ensure all work areas are to be kept clean, tidy and at all times.
- To operate with the Kitchen team through service
- Ensure that all COSHH procedures are always adhered to.
- Ensure ALL recycling is adhered to and all waste is all taken out throughout and at the end of your shift.
- Make sure all food handling procedures are followed at all times.
- To work as a team in a polite and supportive manner.
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as agreed with Catering Management.
- Work areas must be clean, tidy, and sanitised before and between tasks.

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- Literacy skills to a standard to understand and complete any and all online training and complete daily checklists.
- To be mindful of customer service at all times and project a cheerful ‘can do’ attitude.
- To complete All daily paperwork as required.
- To be a good communicator and a strong team player, prepared to be flexible and able to tackle hard physical work when needed.

Previous knowledge is preferred but training will be given on the job

**This is a permanent, term time role working Monday to Friday from 11am-3pm.**
