If you also have experience of data manipulation, GIS and a knowledge of drainage, wastewater or surface water management combined with excellent organisation and communication skills we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our team as a Drainage Strategy Coordinator.
**The role**
As a Drainage Strategy Coordinator, you will be joining the Waste Strategy team where you will coordinate our long-term drainage strategies on our public facing drainage and wastewater management plan (DWMP) portal, our internal Viewpoint system and a risk management authority portal.
Wessex Water is one of the top-performing water and sewerage companies in the UK, serving 2.9 million customers across the South West of England. As a team we want to communicate our proactive plans and strategies on what we are currently working on now and in the future to our colleagues, external stakeholders, and our customers.
To achieve this, we have developed portals that give visibility to our drainage and wastewater management plans (DWMP) and associated Drainage strategies. This exciting role coordinates all the material to share these plans and strategies and will require close liaison within many departments within the business and external organisations, including Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFA), stakeholders from catchment partnerships and communities.

review, summarise, develop and publish Wessex Water's long-term DWMP reports and strategies, including Drainage Strategies and Infiltration Reduction plans
coordinate capital scheme case-studies
attend external meetings to explain the strategies and identify synergies with other risk management authorities to progress the development and delivery of partnership projects through face to face or Teams meetings (occasional evening meetings may also be required)
coordinate data sharing with LLFA and their consultants, including collating data, data licences and sharing.
represent Wessex Water at relevant external meetings including UKWIR and Water UK.
**What do I need?**
To be successful you will have a track record of manipulating data and presenting information geospatially. You will also hold excellent communication skills, including producing and presenting presentations, hosting meetings, and producing written communication for a variety of stakeholders with an array of technical understanding.
We are looking for:
- experience in data manipulation, databases and GIS

- strategic skills
- excellent communication skills
- the ability to work effectively on multiple projects
