Social Care Worker - Alcohol & Drug Recovery Services

Location: Glasgow

**Salary**: £16.03p/h

3 Month Contract initially, Full time, 35 hours per week.

Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.45am till 4.45pm with 50 minutes lunch, Friday 8.45am till 3.55pm

The Social Care Community Partnership are currently looking to recruit Social Care Workers for Alcohol and Drug Services based in Glasgow for a quick start.

Key responsibilities:

- Assessing need re: alcohol and/or drug use
- Formulating addiction care plans and recovery planning
- Harm reduction advice - alcohol and drugs
- Home visits
- Referrals to third sector supports
- Regular joint working with nursing and prescribing staff
- Joint care planning with children and families/health visitors re parental substance use
- Joint care planning with criminal justice re alcohol and drug use that affect offending behaviours
- Timeous and accurate record of interventions
- Risk assessment and management planning
- Appropriate response to welfare concerns (ASP, child protection, missing person etc)
- Contemporaneous recording on EMIS/Carefirst 6 and information systems

Qualifications and experience:

- Must have a PVG membership (you can do this through us)
