Our client is a leading automotive manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading UK standards. Due to growth and further expansion at the site, they are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to come onboard and lead the existing team.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Will be responsible for playing a lead role in supplier negotiation and purchasing within the company
- A very hands-on buying role, dealing with all aspects of procurement and inventory control
- Manage stock levels, and purchase in line with customer demand
- Undertake regular supplier review meetings, ensuring business objectives are met
- Liaising with alternative suppliers where supply issues arise
- Managing RFQs for projects
- Reviewing and expediting stock delivery dates accordingly
- Provide monthly reports against KPIs, identifying the successes and challenges
- Constantly reviewing process and recommending areas for improvement
- Managing MRP meetings
- Monitoring and ensuring the fulfilment of sales forecasts

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Experience of working as a buyer in a manufacturing environment
- A hunger to succeed, passionate, driven and enthusiastic
- Have a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into all areas of the business
- Be a strong communicator, both with suppliers, internal teams & presentational skills
- Good financial / commercial and analytical skills
- Buying / supplier negotiation skills
