About the role:
**The Education Network are actively seeking to recruit Primary KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistants to work day-to-day, short-term, and long-term supply work in a number of our partnership schools in Ashington and the surrounding areas. To work with us asa Primary Teaching Assistant, successful applicants will need to understand the national curriculum, in order to ensure pupils receive the best educational experience. Working as an Teaching Assistant will give you the opportunity to make a difference to thelives of children and young people.**
**What this role will involve**:
**As a Teaching Assistant you will be expected to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups. As well as supporting the class teacher, you will be expected to take a 'hands on' approach, supporting children with their learning and development.When working with children and the class teacher, you will be expected to show, when working with children, the highest levels of enthusiasm and positivity.**
**If you meet the below requirements and are interested in working with us as a Teaching assistant, then please do apply**:
- Qualified to at least a level 2 in a relevant childcare qualification and/or support teaching and learning.
- Have previous experience working in KS1 and/or KS2 (in the last 2 years) and understand the national curriculum.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, students, parents/guardians.
- Have genuine enthusiasm and care for the development of children in an educational setting.
- Full understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection methods and responsibilities.
- Be willing to complete registration with ourselves so that you are clear to work in primary schools from a compliance perspective.
- Have a full and clear DBS check preferably on the online update system (or be willing to undertake one).
- Have professional references that cover you for the last 2 years (one of which must be education based).
