**About The Role**:
Cala Homes South Home Counties Ltd are looking to recruit a Surveyor to join their Commercial team. Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will act as the Surveyor for designated developments within the region, taking the principle role commercially in respect of payments and costs.
You will be responsible for producing accurate and realistic estimates, budgets, forecasts, and cost control measures. Furthermore, you will monitor site performance against original plans, budgets and financial targets. You will provide cost reports and key updates for deadlines which will require you to communicate regularly with other disciplines such as Sales, Land, Construction, Technical Architects as required. As such you should be able to produce accurate reports and presentations and you must have excellent attention to detail as well as being self-motivated and proactive in your approach.
Additionally, you will be taking full ownership of the surveying responsibilities on your own developments in addition to supporting the Commercial team as required regarding financial status and profitability on designated developments.
**About You**:
You must have experience working in a similar role with another house builder, with a minimum of an HNC in Building Studies. RICS qualifications and / or a degree in Quantity Surveying would be beneficial. You must have a high proficiency with various computer packages including Microsoft Office products as well as experience using ‘Site stream’ or other similar land appraisal software. You should be familiar with current standards and Building regulations and have excellent planning and organisational skills.
