**Responsibilities / Skills**
- Responsible for the delivery and management of significant and complex business transformation programmes and large-scale projects to achieve business outcomes, engaging with key stakeholders and senior leaders to identify, scope and prioritise change initiativeswithin business functions.
- Work with senior stakeholders to support the development of business strategies into tangible programmes of change.
- Lead the planning and implementation of programmes and large-scale business projects ensuring changes land sustainably into the business
- Direct and coordinate with internal and external resource and delivery teams to achieve programme objectives
- Ensure objectives, scope, costs, benefits and the associated benefit realisation plans are clearly defined, agreed and communicated
- Day-to-day management and delivery of significant and complex business projects to agreed scope and quality standards and ensuring strict adherence to the project management process
- Take responsibility for the overall progress of the programme and/or project, monitor, review and report on all project indicators (budgets, resources, risks and issues) and where necessary recommend and carry out corrective action
- Preparation and approval of all project documentation in line with governance, working in conjunction with Sponsor
- Develop, manage and maintain the plans to support the activity, resources and interdependencies throughout the programme
- Manage, lead and motivate cross functional, virtual team members ensuring they are engaged, with clear direction and support as required
- Proven experience and success in delivering business transformation programmes and/or large-scale projects through the full life-cycle
- Excellent working knowledge/ qualification of project management principles, methodologies and related tools
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen - demonstrates awareness of internal and external dynamics, and an acute perception of the dimensions of business issues
- Significant experience in leading teams in matrix management environments
- Excellent and proven communication and negotiating skills at senior stakeholder level
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, relationship management and active listening skills
- Strong planning and organisational skills, requiring interpretive and constructive thinking to respond rapidly and decisively to situations
- APM PMQ, or equivalently qualified in similar project management certifications
- Ability to recommend and implement decisions with regard to the successful implementation of the project
