Occupational Health Quality Support Officer

Occupational Health provide care to our ESHT people, supporting them to remain in work and support them to return to work following sickness absence. As a team we are passionate about supporting staff to be healthy at work, which in turn supports the positive experience of patients using ESHT services.
The role of the quality support officer, is to support the OH department in providing assurance surrounding the Safe, Effective and Quality care that we provide.
This is a varied role which requires an individual who is able to work independently using knowledge and judgement to prioritise and organize own workload.
Our office hours are 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday
To be able to support the gathering (via internal audit), analysing and presentation of clinical information and data on processes, performance and outcomes to demonstrate compliance.
Working with the Nurse Manager in reviewing incidents, provide accurate data and update Datix as required as well as support the management of complaint investigations and responses.
Maintain the action plan following incidents, complaints and claims support the Collation, analysis and dissemination of learning from incidents, complaints and claims.
Create and maintain governance related databases to collect and monitor information; maintain and update databases, regular required to develop or create reports and documents.
Maintain key databases to reflect compliance to national standards such as SEQOHS
Support the department and the manager to provide the organisation with assurance of compliance with the SEQOH standards and other legislative requirements (e.g. HSE; Information Governance, Data Protection Act and Caldicott principles).
Support with the collation of data and all reporting requirements of the seasonal vaccination programme both internally and externally.
Support with other administrative duties to support the wider team.
This role involves having access to and includes managing sensitive, complex and sometimes contentious information, from a range of stakeholders within and external to the Division and the Trust.

Our extensive services are provided by a dedicated team working in hospitals across the region in Hastings and Eastbourne, a community hospital in Bexhill, Eastbourne Park Primary care Centre and in people's own homes.
In 2020 the Care Quality Commission (CQC), rated The Trust as 'Good' overall, and 'Outstanding' for being caring and effective. The Conquest Hospital and our Community Services are rated 'Outstanding'. Eastbourne DGH rated 'Good'.
