**Reporting to**:Operations and Supply Manager

**Location**:Swansea (Llansamlet)

**Subordinates**:Warehouse Team comprising of Various Level Operatives and Team leaders

**Job Purpose**:
To control all distribution centre functions for Retail and E-commerce and supervise the Retail fulfilment team in their duties.

This will involve coordinating the team; taking ownership of problem solving and using initiative to encourage first contact resolution. In this role, you will recognise and respond to e-commerce queries in a timely manner, supporting a resolution as effectively as possible.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. To ensure that all distribution staff are aware and fully briefed on the daily duties.

2. To prioritise and distribute to pickers the picking lists and ensure any special instructions are highlighted and adhered to.

3. Liaise with sales office on problems as they occur.

4. Ensure all products are carefully packed to avoid possible damage.

5. Ensure all consignment documentation is correctly prepared and special instructions are highlighted.

6. Ensure all goods are packed and marked according to “dangerous goods” legislation.

7. Ensure carriers are notified in good time when collections are required.

8. Ensure that all SLAare agreed to i.e. Retail orders received before 14.00 hours are picked and despatched same day.

9. Ensure all orders despatched have appropriate invoice attached.

10. Ensure all appropriate documentation is passed to carrier when goods are shipped.

11. Carry out investigation into substandard or lax operating procedures.

12. Promote good housekeeping and ensure good standards of health & safety by supervising the cleaning of shelves and floor space daily, keeping products off the floor and ensuring isles are kept clear.

13. Undertake H&S duties as they appertain to the distribution area.

14. Monitor holiday requests ensuring that there is always sufficient cover and pass details to Site manager for recording with no more than two people away at any one time unless sanctioned by management.

15. Promote team spirit and co-operation within the team and company

17. Keep Warehouse Manager fully informed of any issues which need addressing or in any way compromises the smooth running of the site.

18. To produce and oversee production of SOP’s within areas of responsibility.

19. Resolve stock issues.

20. Responsible for new staff training

21. Ordering supplies, equipment and packaging that are needed.

**Skills Profile**:

- Broad understanding of the warehouse processes with 2+ years experience in a similar role
- Working knowledge of ERP’s (Microsoft Dynamics an advantage)
- Organisational skills
- Ability to motivate others and Strong management skills
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages.
- Good housekeeping and well organised.
- Be able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, busy environment.

**Hours Of Work**:

- Day shift (8.00am - 16.30pm)
- Monday to Friday
- 40 Hours per week
