**CUMBERNAULD** **36 HOURS PER WEEK** Lets introduce you to Sophie: Family is very important to Sophie and she enjoys spending time with them, often going out with her Gran for lunch.Friends are also very important to Sophie and she needs a lot of support from her team of Personal Assistants to ensure she maintain theserelationships.Sophie enjoys spending every second Saturday with her friend Gemma and would like to do this more oftenSophie has a great sense of humour and loves Zumba, dancing and going out in the car.Sophie has autism and can sometimes be put offan activity if something has made her feel uncomfortable so Personal Assistants do need to provide lots of encouragement.Sophie can walk without assistance although she likes to hold onto her Personal Assistant's hand when needing extra reassurance. Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is thatyou will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.
