**JOB OVERVIEW**

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Senior Cisco Network Engineerwith previous second line and third line technical support and troubleshooting experience who can also provide technical networking expertise on IT Infrastructure Projects, in additionto managing general BAU maintenance tasks such as system patches, software upgrades etc.

Working as a Senior Cisco Network Engineer you will provide a high level of technical skills to lead delivery of technical projects to customers through all phases of the project lifecycle including pre-sales, design, deployment and support, and providesecond line and third line technical support to managed support customers.

As a Senior Cisco Network Engineer you will be expected to provide leadership and support to other Network Team members and other teams within the company, and improve in-house skills, technologies and processes to ensure the company maintains the highestpossible level of technical competence.

As a Senior Cisco Network Engineer you will be required to carry out visits to customers sites to provide services including problem resolution, project implementation, and pre-sales support to the Sales Team.

**DUTIES**

Your duties will include:

- Provide a high level of networking skills to employees and customers including, but not restricted to Cisco, Barracuda, Meraki, wireless, security, and routing and switching solutions
- Knowledge of Cisco Firepower Threat Defence (FTD) is desired
- Assist with network maintenance and problem resolution, operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration
- Provide technical networking leadership and expertise on all phases of projects where required, including pre-sales, design, implementation, testing, documentation and support
- Manage and document wireless site surveys
- Lead in the implementation and maintenance of effective monitoring of supported customer networking infrastructure using company tools such as Solar Winds, Cisco Prime and SNMPc
- Lead delivery of technical projects
- Provide second and third-line networking technical support to the service desk
- Ensure Networking Team problem tickets calls are processed and progressed within SLA’s
- Assist in taking service desk calls during periods of high call volume, or service desk staff unavailability
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, particularly hardware details and network diagrams for internal and customer networks
- Assist in the development of technical pre-sales proposals as required
- Provide pre-sales technical expertise to non-technical staff and assist in solution presentation and post sales training if required
- Management and maintenance of the company’s corporate network infrastructure ensuring optimal availability, security and performance
- Install simple cabling, wireless access points and other similar hardware, and manage third party relationships for more complex requirements
- Assist in the development and maintenance of third-party relationships
- Maintain existing professional and obtain additional professional qualifications where necessary in order to achieve and maintain corporate accreditations
- Share knowledge with and provide handover training to staff as required
- Report the status of technical projects and service desk calls to the Operations Director as requested, and escalate problems and issues as required
