Are you an experienced Operations Supervisor with a strong background in waste management? Bluesky Environmental is looking for an Operations Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our site in Cambuslang, Glasgow

As Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the site, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations, and supporting site objectives regarding quality and throughput. You will work closely with the Operations Manager to maintain high operational standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of site performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain a high level of safe working across the site.
- Adhere to SEPA site operating plans and environmental requirements.
- Support weekend working when required.
- Ensure good housekeeping on site.
- Producing daily reports on operations.
- Secure the site and all machinery at the end of shifts.
- Report breakdowns and damage in line with the site escalation process.
- Carry out routine preventative maintenance and document it
- Adhere to company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of all recycled materials
- Ensure compliance with internal and external testing requirements.
- Support the smooth and efficient operation of the plant.

**What We’re Looking For**:
**Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience working in a waste industry environment
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
- Experience in risk assessments and method statements.
- Qualified to operate loading shovel & excavator (we are willing to sponsor training for the right person)

**Desirable Skills & Qualifications**:

- Strong operational knowledge.
- Working knowledge of the waste industry
- IOSH Managing Safely certification. (Desired)
- CPCS tickets for Excavator & Loading Shovel

**What’s included**
