We are seeking a motivated, client-centric **Bookkeeping Assistant** to join a well-established accountancy and business advisory firm based in Surrey. This is a fully office-based role, ideal for individuals starting their career in bookkeeping or currently studying towards Level 2 or Level 3 AAT qualifications.
**Position Details**:
- **Hours**: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- **Location**: West Horsley, Surrey, with occasional travel to the Shepperton branch
- **Salary**: £30,000 - £34,000 (dependent on experience)

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for clients
- Support the preparation of bookkeeping tasks including data entry, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance
- Help prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts and VAT returns
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary financial information
- Contribute to practice growth by embracing new processes and technologies
- **Qualifications**: Currently studying towards Level 2 or Level 3 AAT qualifications or equivalent
- **Experience**: Previous experience in bookkeeping or an accounting environment is beneficial but not essential
- **Tech Proficiency**: Familiarity with bookkeeping software such as Xero and Sage; proficient in MS Excel
- **Communication & Organisation**: Excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail
- **Professional Development**: A proactive attitude towards personal and team growth, with a keen interest in continuous development
- **Driving Licence**: Must have a valid driving licence and access to a car due to the remote office location
