**About the Opportunity**

As a Junior Project Planner within our Defence business, you will undertake a key role in delivering our client requirements. Your role would include the development, implementation and maintaining of schedules. You should be able to communications across all ranges and levels of personnel, demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadline, prioritising tasks combined with being a team player
You will help to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to supporting others across the team in delivering a high-quality service. Showing leadership of a team of diverse individuals, actively encouraging new ways of thinking to provide an agile delivery environment.
You will play a critical role in the delivery and support of your Project Manager, delivering a safe working culture within project teams that you are responsible for and to promote safety within all aspects of your work.
As a key member of the project team you should have excellent communication skills, allowing you to maintain relationships with your client, your team and the Jacobs organisation. You will communicate progress, potential issues and risks to inform and proposed mitigation to your client and internally.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**: As a Junior Planner you will**:

- Work alongside a Project Planner, involved in the planning function of utility projects. This will include the production, updating and monitoring of programmes using Primavera P6 under NEC form of contract.
- Obtaining information from the construction team to input into programmes.
- With guidance, ensuring the production of up-to-date programmes throughout the duration of projects using Primavera P6.
- Reviewing construction progress with input from the project team and producing reports as necessary.
- Highlighting areas of concern in the construction progress and reviewing mitigation measures with the project team; including compensation events, the cause and effect that this will have.
- Assisting Project Managers with planning related matters and attending meetings with project teams and clients.
- You will be responsible for collation of progress information & production of progress reporting as required.
