HR & Payroll Systems Is Analyst

**About the role**

Booker employs a large number of colleagues across its various brands and channels, including Booker Wholesale, Makro, Booker Retail Partners etc. The input, maintenance, and processing of master data for those colleagues are managed by the HR and Payrollteams around the country. The IS team works closely with our HR colleagues to ensure data accuracy and privacy and to remain health, safe and legal in everything we do.

The IS Team are seeking to recruit a HR & Payroll Systems IS Analyst to join the SAP team. This role will involve
- Working closely with our HR / Payroll colleagues to translate business requirements into simplified system specifications.
- Carry out system configuration (supported via a comprehensive training programme).
- Providing 1st line support to the payroll team.
- Supporting the continuous improvement programme to help deliver better systems for all our colleagues.

**Role Responsibility**

- Work to identify issues that will or are impacting systems stability, availability and functionality, and then work promptly, jointly & proactively to mitigate and resolve such issues.
- Prioritise and promptly resolve technical and procedural issues.
- Specify enhancements to systems, log system deficiencies and then work to test the delivered software.
- Work to reliably and efficiently produce timely and accurate management information.
- Provide training and guidance to end users as required.
- Work with colleagues, customers and suppliers to manage service perception and the understanding of IS services.
- Work proactively with stakeholders to improve processes and maximise system asset utilization.
- Work to deliver system improvements and projects to support the company's growth plans.
- Work promptly, jointly & proactively on projects to improve cash profit & customer satisfaction.
- Work to deliver approved projects in full to agreed budgets and timescales.

Cash Profit:

- Work with suppliers and other stakeholders to achieve effective solutions.
- Comply with procedures to store and re-use IS equipment effectively and efficiently.

**You will need**

- SAP HR/Payroll configuration experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Desire to learn / add value / drive progress.
- Excellence in building positive relationships with business stakeholders.
- Ability to translate the Payroll / HR team's business requirements into simple and easy-to-use system processes.
- Ability to prioritise activities and work on own initiative.
- Good record-keeping and minute taking skills.
- Project planning skills are desirable.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, communicating effectively and efficiently with colleagues, customers and suppliers.
- Experience working with HR/Payroll systems is essential.
- Good understanding of HR and Payroll administration.
- Consistent delivery of results.
- Experience in training others is desirable.
