Café Assistant

**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the café area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Serve customers promptly and courteously, taking orders and providing recommendations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive dining experience for all customers.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tasks during busy periods.

**Skills**
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Ability to assist customers with a friendly attitude and provide help when needed.
- Experience in food preparation is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and processing orders accurately.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
