We are looking for a customer driven individual to join us on a permanent basis as a Senior Claims Administrator for a key Life & Pensions client.

This role will be to process customer bereavement claims on various financial products, and as such, we need an individual who can empathise with customers who are going through a difficult period, providing excellent customer service at all times. You’ll be working within a close-knit team in a very supportive environment.

The role will be on a hybrid arrangement, predominantly working from home, but you’ll need to be based within commutable distance of either Swindon or Cheltenham for occasions when you will be required to attend the office.

**What will you do?**
- Provide quality customer service in dealing with written and verbal customer enquiries in relation to Bereavement Claims from notification of a bereavement through to settlement of the claim, ensuring that our customers are treated in a fair and consistent manner taking into account their individual circumstances. You must be confident to deal with highly vulnerable customers.
- Where appropriate, the Claims Administrator will be responsible for updating and maintaining policy administration systems to reflect the status of a claim and will ensure that follow-up activities are performed appropriately, taking a pro-active approach to ensure the management of the case is fair and consistent, with consideration of individual claim circumstances.
- Ensure all SLA’s and KPI’s are understood and adhered to
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.

**What are we looking for?**
- Previous experience in an administrative role.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service, especially to customers who are going through a difficult period in their lives.
- Previous experience in a regulated Financial Services environment would be preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
- Able to communicate effectively both in writing and over the telephone.
- Able to work as part of a team, but also handle your own varying workloads when working remotely, so good organisational skills are required.
- Good numeracy and literacy.
- Strong PC / MS Office skills.
