Delivery Driver; Furniture Removals

We are looking for Furniture Removal and Delivery Drivers in St Helens to join the local team at Boxmove.

Boxmove is a high growth logistics company working alongside charities across the UK to carry out furniture collections & deliveries in an efficient professional manner. We're an independently owned business with our drivers at the heart of our operation.

At every stage of the process, we have customer service at the heart of everything we do. The head office is based in Manchester, but we operate our furniture collection & delivery network across the UK. We pride ourselves on engaging the very best drivers who share our values and determination to maintain the highest standards for our charity partners.

Boxmove driver teams (always consisting of at least 2 Boxmove drivers in each van) collect and deliver furniture across their local area for our partner charities in a safe, efficient, and polite manner ensuring that our customers receive their orders when they are expected.

You are sent a daily schedule for your jobs (which will consist mainly of bulky furniture) which are collected and brought into charity stores or delivered to the room of choice for the customer (although we do not assemble/dismantle). Each team is allocated a van and you'll either take it home or your teammate will depending on the location of your last job. There is no commuting needed - your shift starts and ends when you get in/out of the van.

**Working hours**:

- FULL TIME: We require you to work a minimum of 4 shifts per week on a rota in a team of 2 or 3 staff. Our shifts are not set lengths, however, you will work 40+ hours on most weeks and may do more than 4 shifts if and when required. Saturday work is part of the contract, and you'll work at least 2 out of every 3 Saturdays.
- Previous experience with deliveries, especially large items, is very desirable
- Bonus scheme in place (approx £40-£60 p/m extra)
- We pay monthly through PAYE with high hourly pay
- Your team has a company van & and all tools required to carry out your work to a high standard in a safe manner. We also provide you with a full set of uniforms.

If successful you will be invited to carry out paid trial shifts with our current team for 2-3 days to assess suitability. Once successful, you will be offered a full time contract with Boxmove.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Driving a van from point to point in a local area completing deliveries
- Navigating the best routes within a local area - you will be provided with a set schedule to follow
- Ensuring the vehicle is safe to drive and is regularly checked for any issues
- Safely moving furniture & heavy goods into customer houses and retail premises, taking care to cause no damage or injury
- Polite, friendly approach to all our customers and clients

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Must have a driving licence for at least 5 years with no endorsements
- Must have no accidents or insurance claims in the last 5 years in any vehicle
- Previous experience with driving a van or carrying out deliveries - Not essential but preferred

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
