We have a Travelling Cook's role available around Northallerton, Ripon and Leyburn where you could make a positive difference to our service and the experience of the pupils. You would work a minimum 25 hours per week, starting around 9:00am, and finishing at 14:00pm with some flexibility depending on the daily requirements. Overtime is paid monthly. Working as a travelling cook opens up opportunities to work with and engage with lots of different people in various different kitchens.

You would support our team with a variety of catering tasks from baking to serving pupils to washing up. You would work term time only and be paid £12.38 to £13.02 per hour (Pay rise pending based on Local Government Pay Award exp November 2024), however we would spread your salary over 12 equal monthly payments. Your salary would include a generous leave entitlement and you would have access to the Local Government Pension Scheme and a range of employee benefits.
