An award winning multi office law firm are currently looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Macclesfield office within the firms Private Client department. You will be required to have previous legal secretarial experience and enjoyworking within a friendly team environment.
As a legal secretary working for this small office in Macclesfield you also be required to act as receptionist, answering the telephone and dealing with initial enquiries both face to face and over the phone.
The firm are offering a competitive salary plus excellent benefits package, this role is full time office based.
Duties include
- Acting as a Witness
- Careful and accurate copying of documents
- Organising meetings, appointments and conferences (virtually or in person), communicating clearly with all parties and confirming details of the same.
- Making phone calls to third parties as directed by the matter supervisor
- Careful transfer of data to the agreed, designated recipient using the prescribed methods (online data transfer, copying discs), keeping a record of data shared.
- Preparing documents for certification
- Preparing franked mail
- Welcoming clients visiting the office
- Scanning and saving all incoming post using the prescribed format
- Maintaining an orderly file/ record of Court Orders.
- Maintaining a clear register of medical records held by the firm, electronic and hard copies
- Answering phone calls, recording messages accurately in Quill, providing approved information to callers and transferring calls as appropriate.
- Making room bookings and appointments using the firm’s electronic calendars.
- Open enquiry files accurately
- Proactively update and maintain client records
- Create, amend and save documents in the prescribed format
