The Head of Learning and Leadership will lead the design and delivery of a professional Learning and Leadership Development offering for all Royal Mail Group business units, including Frontline and Management learning and leadership interventions; to lead and drive the RMG learning digitisation journey, engaging with key stakeholders and suppliers to deliver fit for purpose digital solutions supporting key business initiatives.

In addition this role will be responsible for designing, developing, managing and coordinating Learning & Capability Development / Organisation Development initiatives for all RMG employees; working closely with and aligning to, functional leaders, HRBP’s, programme owners, and transformation leads.

Reporting to the Director of the Academy, you will be able to demonstrate success in your career in a senior influential HR role, either as a Business Partner or Head of, where L&D, Organisation Design and a Talent Development agenda has been a high priority. You will have proven ability to influence and drive positive engagement in a dynamically transforming environment.

This is a Hybrid Role with travel to London and Derbyshire required.

**About the role**

Provide further development of the Learning & Leadership strategy that underpins the people strategy, enabling the achievement of business strategy.

Lead the learning design requirements for the organization, engaging with relevant stakeholders.

Be accountable for the approach to digital learning in line with the digital strategy, ensuring that business needs are met through the use of appropriate platforms.

Input into the strategic management of supplier relationships and sourcing of the “best-in
- field” suppliers from the marketplace.

Own delivery of the learning offering, whilst working in partnership with colleagues in HR CoE’s, Business Facing HR (for Letters & Network) and stakeholders for other business units (C&PF, Parcels business, International, Commercial and RoMEC), to ensure that RMG strategic objectives are integrated into the service.

Deliver all Royal Mail Group’s statutory obligations in the area of training (e.g. Driver CPC, First Aid etc) and ensure that all legal requirements and RMG policies and processes are fully understood and embedded in the teams ways of working and remain compliant with governing body requirements.

Lead the design and implementation of a leadership development framework for initially, Operational managers, to support leadership capability, expanding to Support Functions manager & leader populations.

Deliver a robust and customer focused learning scheduling and enrolment service to customers across all RMG, ensuring cost-effective utilisation of trainer resource

- Highly developed business acumen and strategic capability
- Ability to influence at senior level
- Experience of creating a modern learning eco-system, bringing together digital, virtual and face to face into a seamless package
- Digital learning savvy, and experience of developing a consumer grade digital learning offer
- 3rd party supplier management experience
- Deep understanding of the business needs regarding employee capability at both frontline and senior level.
- Up to date understanding of the latest approaches to learning
- Ability to operate with high levels of change and ambiguity
- Commercial and financial acumen
- Ability to deliver results via “virtual” team critical
- Experience of implementing learning metrics and using learning data and insight to grow business impact
