**We are looking for a Buyer /Procurement Clerk, based in our Liverpool Office who will be responsible for the provision of materials buying / purchasing activities of our business.**

**Responsibilities**
- Control the procurement and expedite the supply of requisitioned items
- Source relevant Suppliers
- Find the best prices and rates and obtain the appropriate quotations to maximise margin potential.
- Place orders with Suppliers.
- Raise orders and correspond with Suppliers.
- Chase up outstanding requisitions.
- Order confirmations / acknowledgements.
- Deal with queries from both site and Suppliers.
- Review invoice and amend order if appropriate.
- Outsource new Suppliers and send out questionnaires.
- Arrange for Suppliers to be set up oncosting system.
- Carry out any other duties appropriate for the role.
- Collating information from Suppliers for insertion in our operations and maintenance files.
- Place Hire Order, Monitor and track hire items.

**Experience & Skills**
- General good standard of education e.g., NVQ Business & Administration or similar.
- Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of procurement practices.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management, organisation skills and able to work to deadlines.
- Attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a Construction environment desirable.

Working as part of our business admin and project delivering team and liaising with UK wide suppliers and subcontractors.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year

- Liverpool, L5 9RJ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
