As **Senior Java Software Engineer** you will join a Global prestigious finance company and will be at the heart of building and supporting the next generation platforms. You will form part of a rapidly growing and exciting technology team.

This job opportunity requires a hands-on Java Software Engineer who can build high quality software using a modern development stack. **THE BASICS**:
You will be part of an enthusiastic, high preforming team developing solutions to support the servicing of customers by agents

Focus on building and executing against a strategy and roadmap focused on rolling out the existing platform globally whilst ensuring to develop new and relevant capabilities

Ensure to partner with Product, other Development Teams and Production Support to ensure a smooth transition throughout the development lifecycle from ideation all the way through to implementation

Designing solutions that are scalable and can be delivered iteratively to maximise business value

Writing code and unit tests, focusing on but not necessarily limited to providing and consuming REST Services, whilst also reviewing other team members’ code

**KEY SKILLS**:
Experience with **Java** is a must, one or more of the following is an advantage**:React.js, Node.js, Spring Boot**

Strong broad technical understanding of **distributed architectures**, cloud, JVMs, browser technologies, **REST APIs**, authentication and authorization mechanisms, databases **SQL and NoSQL**

University Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required; advanced degree preferred

Experience working with **Git** on small to medium-sized teams along with experience with continuous integration tools (**Jenkins**, Gitlab CI) a plus

Experience with Atlassian software development and collaboration tools (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence, etc.), a plus

Proven experience leading and supporting teams of engineers in delivery

Experience in building scalable distributed systems with the ability to debugs software components, identifies, fixes, and verifies remediation of defects

The role can be office or home-based, flexible or hybrid.
