Welcome Churches has an exciting opportunity for a visionary, strategic individual to help us to grow our work, by strengthening our operational capacity and ability. As demand for our works continues to grow exponentially, we are looking for a Head of Fundraising and Engagement who can bring strategy and vision in order to ensure the continued support and engagement of supporters, churches and refugees across the UK. This role will join the organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team and will be in charge of our fundraising, communications and other engagement methods.

Demand for our work has grown exponentially in recent years. This is due to the new opportunities churches and communities have had to welcome newly-arrived people seeking refuge in a variety of ways including: hosting Ukrainians, people arriving from Hong Kong, Afghan families living in Bridging Hotels, asylum seekers being dispersed across the country in various accommodations including hotels.

As our work has grown, we need to ensure that we are able to obtain the necessary income to fund our growth. We are seeking to invest in our future growth and sustainability through recruiting a Head of Fundraising and Engagement.

Our Head of Fundraising and Engagement will be a passionate, enthusiastic individual who can inspire others to action - both in the team, and through our network of churches and supporters. They will be responsible for growing and diversifying the charity's income through a mix of church engagement, supporter engagement, major donors and trust and grant fundraising. They will also be responsible for overseeing our charity’s communications and marketing.
