Financial Reporting Accountant required for a market leading organisation based in Stratford Upon Avon on a 12 month fix term contract. This will be a hybrid role with a 50/50 split between home and office working.

As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will lead and control the production of financial data and returns to comply with regulatory requirements and the internal reporting schedule.

You will also provide technical financial insight to help guide our decision making and to safeguard our assets.

Duties include:

- Coordinate and control the production of accurate management and statutory accounts to meet regulatory and corporate governance requirements
- Advise and influence on financial controls, process improvements and best practice
- Anticipate, plan and prepare for regulatory change and business developments to ensure controls remain effective
- Lead the efficient resolution of queries, issues and discrepancies
- Build effective relationships with regulatory bodies, auditors and all levels of internal business stakeholders
About you
You will have the right mix of technical expertise, relationship building and project management to deliver results within the financial reporting area.

You will be a strong communicator, with excellent time-management skills, and a focus on best practice

You will also have/be:
A fully qualified or nearly qualified accountant with a recognised professional body (e.g. CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
Knowledge of accountancy principles and practices, management accounts, and regulatory/statutory requirements.
Ideally you will have Insurance/Financial Services industry awareness
Experience producing complex financial reports and insights
Experience using Microsoft packages (especially Excel) and financial systems
The ability to explain complex financial information in written and verbal form to financial and non-financial audiences
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
