Wildwood is the leading native species rewilding charity in the UK. We run Kent and Devon’s best British wildlife parks, home to over 200 native animals, where visitors can delve into our ancient woodlands to see bears, wolves, red squirrels and many more animals that could once be found wild in Britain.

**Role description**

As a Wildwood Volunteer you will assist our Community and Events officer to engage with visitors and the wider community, directly helping us raise funds to protect, conserve and rewild British wildlife. You will be on the front line of Wildwood, managing exciting, engaging, and successful community events. As part of a small team, you will share ideas, have a flair in being creative and motivate each other, helping to take Wildwood to the next level.

You will help reflect on events and have input on how to make them even better in order to continuously improve and grow. As volunteers you will work closely with our community and events officer, who will support you and help you to grow your knowledge of British wildlife. You will also be assisted in managing the events and ideas in order to get the best results.

**Main role and responsibilities**
- Running stalls at community events externally and in our parks
- Having a presence at different external venues, selling memberships & adoptions
- Attending talks and presentations
- Helping set up for park events
- Organising collections, tombola’s and raffles
- Working with us on marketing and publicity
- Chatting to the public about Wildwood Trust and the work we do

**Additional information**
- The post advertised will require someone who can offer time on weekends as well as week days
- We are an equal opportunities employer
- Applicants will be invited to the park to meet with our Community and Events officer
- Having own car is preferable but not essential (mileage will be paid at 45p per mile)
