As we enter our next stage of growth, we are looking for a Special Investigator to join our Property division. The Special Investigator will be responsible for all aspects of property claim investigation, collecting, gathering and reviewing evidence to ensurevalidity. Upon completion of any investigation determining the level of liability applicable and reporting to clients/Insurers. This will be both a site and home-based position and will enable you to deal with cases from their first receipt in the office until completion of claims encompassing all the GHG core values. This position would be suitable for someone with property/commercialexperience and a previous role in investigation would be an advantage. **Key responsibilities of the Special Investigator include**: - Carry out site visits and be proficient in statement taking. - Assessing a range of factual information including policyholder/claimant's backgrounds. - Liaising with other professionals to obtain any required information in support of investigation (eg police) - Determine if any further investigations are required and reporting as necessary to all relevant parties. - Provide a detailed report within the agreed SLA’s, maintaining high standards of communication at all times, both internally and externally. - Process claims in accordance with insurers philosophy, standards, service levels and complaints procedure and proactively progress the claim. - Pro-actively direct any specialist appropriate to the circumstances and manage them. **Who we are looking for**: - Minimum 1-year investigation experience in both Domestic and Commercial. - Cert CII and / or Cert CILA - Knowledge of Household Insurance / Commercial Insurance Policies or similar industry knowledge. - Excellent communication skills both verbally and written with an ability to articulate complex issues - Good technical and problem-solving skills with an eye for identifying solutions - Effective time management skills and the ability to manage own workload with mínimal supervision - Quality driven with high levels of attention to detail - Self-sufficient, self-motivated, and confident, ability to be assertive and persistent when required - Excellent organisational skills - Good commercial acumen - Full / clean driving license.
