**Plumber with Multi-Skilling**

**Job Type**:Permanent, 37 hours per week

**Salary**:Scale 6 (£25,927 - £27,514 per annum)

**The Role**

Our client was set up by the Council in 2007 to manage almost 5,000 social housing properties across Blackpool, providing related services to its tenant and leasehold customers and regenerating areas to create opportunities for local residents to thrive.

They currently have a fantastic opportunity to join their Responsive Repairs Team, within the Operations Department as a Plumber with Multi-Skills.

**Requirements**:
**Some of these requirements include**:

- Refix/renew pluming pipework and waste pipework
- Renew waste/ trap to sink/basin and bath
- Clear obstruction to waste/ trap to bath, sink or WHB
- Reseal/ repair leak on waste fittings and/or SVP
- Installation of thermostatic mixer shower (hot and cold feed)
- Fit waterproof cladding to wet areas
- Re-glazing to windows and doors
- Re-fix/ renew taps to sink, bath and WHB

Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential as you will be dealing with members of the public on a regular basis, along with a sound knowledge of health and safety.You will have the ability to work as part of a team and also possessexcellent organisational skills to plan and prioritise workload, working to deadlines and agreed targets.

Experience of working with Housing Associations and managing repairs is desirable.

You must hold a full, current driving licence, as a company van is provided (for travel to and from work and for use during work hours only).

A satisfactory Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check (formerly known as CRB) is required for this position.

There is the opportunity to join the organisation’s out of hour’s team after successful completion of a 6 month probation period.

Makita power tools are supplied, however you must have your own hand tools.

PDA and personal safety device supplied, with the organisation suppling the necessary training on the use of these devices).
