Laser Programmer

Our client, a prestigious engineering and manufacturing client, based in Thetford, are currently seeking a Laser Programmer to join their team.
- Do you have excellent computer skills with previous experience with a nesting/bending software?
- Are you able to read and understand engineering drawings?
- Do you have experience with AutoCAD? (Preferred but not essential).
- If so, this could be the role for you_

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday.

**Job Duties**:

- Utilising TruTops Boost software programming the laser and press brake efficiently and cost effectively including in relation to quantities cut
- Issue relevant paperwork - set up plans, production paperwork and drawings to the operator
- Manage the revision-controlled items in Boost ensuring ALWAYS the latest revision is cut
- Liaise with the laser operator and production team regarding priorities
- Assist with producing drawing packages for all manufactured products
- Specifically for laser cut bodies - generating the nestings as well as the associated production orders

**Experience required**:

- Microsoft Office and an MRP system (Essential)
- Experience with 3D design software (preferred)
- Mechanical Engineering experience not essential but an understanding of sheet metal would be advantageous
- Methodical, systematic approach to tasks with good attention to detail and a proactive enthusiastic approach to engineering
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines and working to tight tolerances
- Good communication skills.
- This role would ideally suit someone with 3+ years similar experience
